Today a group of explorers (or actually just a bunch of people who like to go where they shouldn't) decided to play with the newly opened WALL in Gahreesen!



And so Enstorm, Shinbo, Domino, Sarahh, Master_chief, Brinch, Cyd and Foo linked to Dan'ni's Gahreesen and began playing the newly opened game known as The Wall.



The Wall is located in the second building in Gahreesen. There's a new journal with rules of the game and info on how to set it up.
But the journal is confusing so... let me just explain to you how The Wall works.
Basically there're two sides of The Wall - prurple and yellow. There's also a yellow and purple control panel in the rooms on the second building. The panels set up a maze in which the players will play. The goal of The Wall? Get to the very top! But the panels can set up things known as BLOCKERS. If while climbing The Wall you touch the blocker you fall down and have to start from the beginning.

The Wall Set-up!



This is The Panel! Purple panel sets up the maze for the yellow side of The Wall and yellow panel sets up the maze for purple side of The Wall.
To set up the maze do the following:
1) Click on the red button to initiate the procedure (you only need to click once the button to initiate the set-up procedure on both panels)
2) Now it's time to set up Blockers! First you have to decide how many blockers you want to put into the Wall (you also do it once - once you decide that the number of blockers will be set up to both panels). To do that you have to click on the purple buttons on the sides of the panel. Each button has a special purpose:
Left buttons:
*TOP - sets the number of blockers to 15
*MIDDLE - sets the number of blockers to 10
*BOTTOM - sets the number of blockers to 5
Right buttons:
*TOP - adds one blocker
*MIDDLE - sets the chosen number of blockers (once you push that you move to the next phase which is setting up blockers)
*BOTTOM - removes one blocker
3) After you decided how many blockers you want to set up you have to put the blockers on the maze (this you have to do on each panel). To do that just click on the wall board on the panel.
After you've put down all blockers push again the red button (this has to be done on each panel after on each panel you've set up all the blockers)

After you've done that the tubes in the rooms next to the Panel Rooms will open and you will be able to enter The Wall!

So back to the bunch of explorers having fun in my Gahreesen...
ROUND 1: First on The Wall were Enstorm and Fra'ni - Enstorm won.
ROUND 2: Foo vs. Shinbo - Foo won
ROUND 3: Cyd (who crashed and Dan'ni took his place) vs. Master_chief. Master won.

After that I left the Wall room by clicking on this cute button... and guess what something went wrong and I panic linked to Relto... and guess what... I got to keep the Maintainer Suit (at least until the next login)!

EDIT: DRC opened a new area in Ae'gura - The Canyon! One of the barriers is also jumpable which means you can get up the stairs and reach the Concert Hall Foyer! Two new Great Zero markers are waiting for you in the new areas!

After reading Laxman and Kodama decided to open The Wall on the DRC forums (http://ubbxforums.ub...071&m=630107361) I just had to listen to The Wall.
Didn't have time to test it, but Cyd was keeping us updated on the IRC channel. Hopefully I'll have time to try The Wall some time this weekend.

Someone said the other one was in a crack. So when I finally got back in the city, I fell down in it. While looking for it, I fell further down. And further. Emergency link to relto didnt work, (I did link, my char dissapeared, but I was still hanging in nothingness) had to reboot uru. When the city was finally accessible again, it stuck on authenticating. Now I can't even log in anymore. Bleh.

I just had a very frightening experience.

I linked to the wall as fast as I could upon reading this summary...

Set it up...

Went out... (all very exciting!) Started on the purple side...
Got close to the wall... And suddenly, inadvertantly, was climbing it!

Figuring I could explore more on the ground level later, I continued climbing.

Upon finding my first marker, I deliberately ran into it, just to see what would happen....

Nothing. I climbed right over it. This was my first hint that something was terribly wrong.

I continued climbing, and eventually hit the top. There, I saw a shot of my character being elevatored into a small room... Then it flashes back to the wall! I'm now on the yellow side.

Needless to say, I was quite confused.

I decided to switch to third person... And suddenly was back in the room. But I couldn't see my charcater.

I went back to first and tried climbing down. And down. And down. I found that I went right throug the floor.

I then tried climbing sideways. I found that I could go completely off the wall... And just sat there hanging in mid air...

Next, I went up. Way, way, way up. After I climbed off the wall, all I could see was blackness, and then, hanging in space below me, was a conference room, hanging in space. After a while, it winked out. I just kept climing... A while later, I found that there were about three little red dots below me. These lingered for a while, then they too left. I tried linking to my Relto... To no avail.


Eventually, I got quite bored of climbing through empty space, and was forced to quit.

*sigh* Not a good first experience, there. *grin*
I took a great many photos... But don't have access to them just now. Maybe later.

Anyway, hope you all have better luck than I.

It’s been a long wait, but it’s finally open , and now I have to say this…

What an annoying game!!!!

Sounds simple, remember where the blockers are, well, No its not, arrrrrgh. (Ok so I don’t have the best memory in the world )

But really, this is a fantastic game, really good laugh, Thanks Cyan!

Beware this game can do some serious damage to your keyboard, I’ve pressed my ‘up’ arrow so hard (to speed me up the wall, (doesn’t work)) that it’s now 5mm lower than the rest!!!

Err I just thought, Thief, Doug is going to flip when he sees you in that, he wasn’t happy about the hard hats, I dread to think what he is going to say about walking around in a maintainers suit.
