IC:

Thanks for the log, guys!

Where exactly was the smoke coming from? Was it dust rising from a building that collapsed?

Sounds like Phil had a REALLY close call this time! shocked.gif

Well I hope Phil is ok.
Couldn't he just "panic link" to his Relto if he was in danger?
Or did he let himself take away?
And where was that smoke coming from?

If anyone can explain, that'd be great...

The picture there where you show the highlighted area...How do you get down there? When I linked to the Balchony on Gahreesen one time, I see like 4-5 names on my "Age Players" list...

If anyone knows great...

this is what you get when you take a vacation and leave the cavern, not being able to take part in all this. Oh well...

Man, I sure hope phil is ok, for all of our sakes, not just for the followers of Yeesha, but the DRC as well because a death could get the american government involved....and that would be bad.

This event is major i think, either this will tear the DRC and Yeesha people forever in two and wage eternal war, or maybe the DRC will realize that they need to better accomodate us explorers instead of hiding stuff. Show us all, and we'll decide where to take the risks.

See everyone in the cavern....maybe sometime this week...i dunno when i'll get back....maybe never... tear.gif

It certainly was an interesting, and needless to say, thrilling expirience, as well as frightening. I do hope that Mr. Henderson is alright. On the brighter side of things, perhaps we will now see some progress thanks to his actions. Also, this is was my first encounter with the REAL DRC, and I was not impressed. Their concern for Phil was admirable, yet when it came to endangering themselves, you'll notice not a single one of them actually DID anything to go and GET HENDERSON OUT OF DANGER. That's not what I call a friend. If I had been privy to the information that the DRC is, I would have been up there trying to get him down, regardless of the danger.

So I put it to you, is Sharper really the ONLY ONE who is being self-centered?

It's amazing how some people can see proof that the DRC methods of assessing dangerous areas is, at times, justified and then find fault in their handling of an incident. If Mr. Henderson hadn't gone up there in the first place, this would have never occurred. If the DRC had known that he was heading into a dangerous area, they might have had a rescue team in place, ready to pull him out.

Now I wonder if something like would have happened when Mr. Sharper first opened his "Privacy Room" door, would he be so eager to stick his nose behind other barriers.

And no, Kam. Mr Henderson is showing himself to be just as self-centered as Mr. Sharper is. How many of the people who witnessed his acts did he put in danger? Could that whole area have collapsed? If there was no danger to you, why did Mr's Engburg and Laxman send you all away? To keep their secrets, I suppose someone will answer.

No matter. The DRC has once again shown that their restrictions are in place for a good reason.

Oh bite me.

If you read the log, you'll clearly see that they did want to get him out of there, but as one of them stated, there was no quick or safe way to get up there. If he were there for a bit longer, I'm sure that they would've sent someone to get him.

And yes, Doug is stil the only self-centered person I see.

No matter. The DRC has once again shown that their restrictions are in place for a good reason.

As I recall the only evidence of any real danger was the DRC's word. There was some smoke, and some speculation that it could have been caused by rubble, but did anyone really see anything fall? And I don't think that it would be possible for the whole area to collapse. That is a pretty sturdy area. So basically, everyone in support of the DRC is basing their opinions almost solely on what the DRC said. Phil, who was closest to the action, didn't seem very concerned about the danger.

Granted, Henderson doesn't seem to be the most attached to the immediate reality of the people I know, but even he would probably express some concern if his life were in immediate danger.

Did anyone notice the DRC's new KI message? It said that something did collapse up there and that Phil seems to be trapped. They're not sure how long it could take to dig him out, but they're hoping he's still alive.

Do they only have their five pairs of hands working on things? For the love of Pete, enlist some able bodies! We'll sign liability releases, c'mon!

I think that at least the DRC should sit down with us and give us some clear answers, I don't like the way they provide us with information, I feel they treat us as little kids and I don't like that a bit.
What's so hard about giving clear reasons why we can't go to certain places?
If they want us to trust them they better start being a bit more open.
I really hope Phill is ok.......

Kam, you were in the city for something like twelve hours. Did you see any sign of collapsed buildings, or is the DRC blowing smoke?
Maybe. I don't know much about these things.
