I noticed the name. However, I don't know who any of those were.

i noticed that. cyan has been really good about adding names to the memorial. now they just need to take phil henderson's name off it.
on an unrelated note, i installed moula yesterday on my macbook pro running win xp sp3 under parallels 5. so far it works great even on the wifi. i'm gonna have to check it out in ercana later. the mac has an nvidia (2 actually) video card, and when i had one in my dell ercana was full of glitches like crashing at certain points and really bad problems displaying the water. i switched to an ati card and everything has been hunky dory since.

Oh, that's nice. I was wondering just a few days ago if they had done it.

 I noticed that too, and was glad. I ran into some newcomers who didn't know what the memorial was all about. I explained as best I could without scarring them off.

We will be taking down the servers to update MOUL at 10:45AM PST on 02-17-2010. We expect this update to take less than 45 minutes.

Thanks for your understanding!

There was a really nice memorial service there a few nights ago. Thanks to the two women who organized it! My "old-timers" disease prevents me from remembering their names...

Just wanted to report that I am also running MOULa on my 10" Acer Aspire One netbook -- on battery power and using the WiFi -- and it's smooth as glass. Very fun to see how good it looks even on a 10" netbook screen!

It's a Mobile Intel 945 Express chipset.

And I do have shadows turned off and I think anti-aliasing is off too. But I didn't do that to get it to work. In fact, I might try to turn them up a bit. It's certainly running well enough to do some experimenting.

Frankly, I'm just thrilled that I can play the game even when I'm out at a coffee shop or the library. Yay! :)

I wonder how much bandwidth the game uses. Would it be feasible to run it over a 3g or 4g cell phone connection? Then you'd have a truly portable Uru experience, untethered from WiFi! :D

I always play Wifi, my laptop is upstairs in my room, the connection is downstairs, never really had a problem, infact when playing my connection seems better.

using cell data? no way. way too much latency if nothing else. plus it would kill the 5 gig cap on most "unlimited" data plans in short order if played that way regularly.

Hello everyone, just found out today that URU is back! I almost fainted when I found out and immediately got in. I am so happy and hope to see you all in the Hood. I am really pleased with how well it is running too though reading the previous post I see it was a bit crazy at first. DonnaDillon
